Penyakit Jenama Nyamuk-Chikugunya
Assalamualaikum and Hi,
Chikugunya is one of the epidemics in Malaysia nowadays. News of a pakcik died because of this viral disease has caught my attention this morning. Al-fatihah for the pakcik.
Why has the news caught me?
Its not that I’m a near relative to the pakcik or his granddaughter but I somehow do know how it feels to battle with the fever. I once had dengue when I was in form 5 and had a viral fever few years ago which stops me from joining a program conducted by college (bagus jugak kena demam tue during that time because I wasn’t really fond of joining the dancing competition..hehe).
How does it feel?
Well, it feels like…this..and that…hehe. Hard to precisely describe but in someway it does feel like having dengue. All your joins would be ‘sengal-sengal’. At one moment you are enjoying things you’re doing and five minutes later all you want is to lie down and a good rest. When the fever attacks you don’t feel like doing anything, you feel pain when you walk, eat, sleep. Sakit la katekan. Huhu.
But Alhamdulillah, I went it through with the support from those near me, especially Mama and Abah.
They say, “Prevention is better than cure.” True enough.
How to prevent?
Just look after yourself well. Keep away from mosquitoes. Make sure no conducive environment for the mosquitoes to breed. Yada..yada..
Hmm..though you’ve done all the preventions. It doesn’t mean that you’ll never get it. Pray hard, I’ll say. Kalau kena jugak..ujian la tue.
Because as far as I remember, I did do all the preventions. We live in a healthy environment at home..I keep myself away from the mosquitoes. Yet, there I was, once off from school for two weeks and a week in the hospital.
Hmm..ujian Allah tue dalam pelbagai bentuk…hmm but at the same time those ordeals/ujians are blessings in disguise.
We never know what’s in front of us. Pray harder.
Wassalam.
P/s: Will be off to kampung on my own in an hour. Pray for my safe journey. ![]()
